Here is a problem for my geometry students, you guys are some of the only ones who look at this blog anyway:

If you are the first to figure this out and can explain how you got your answer then you own bragging rights and we may be able to figure out other possible rewards...

Okay, I have to apologize to my 5th hour class for the brain-fart I was having on #74 from the last assignment. I took one look at it right after class and realized what we needed to do. Look at this:

End of 2nd Quarter

There is only one more week left of the quarter. If you have any work left, late work, make up a test, or whatever, make sure it is in BEFORE we take the End of Quarter Test. If you are planning on doing extra credit this quarter... it is the same as last quarter and needs to be completed before the End of Quarter Test. Thanks for visiting the blog and I will try to post things more often for those who "check it often". Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, I hope the break is long, restful and enjoyable for all of us!

Enjoy...or not.

Either way, this should spark any viewer to leave a comment. I don't know why I do this blog if none of the students are going to look at it. You'll have to angle your head for this one.

Back to School

Hey everybody, we are back to school tomorrow. I am excited to meet all the students and start learning some math together. The first few days should be fun, we will talk about our class and go over some procedures, then I hope we have time to have a get-to-know-you activity. After that we will be taking a couple of tests; one of them is a test on what we will learn this year so you may not know much of it yet, the other test is a test on what you should have learned last year. After the tests we should be on course to get right into the curriculum, how exciting! Please leave a comment or email me if you have any questions, thanks.

End of Levels are here!

We don't have a whole lot of time left before the end of level test for our math class. If you would like to prepare for the test by studying with your classmates, come in before or after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I can give you some practice problems and some tips on taking tests. It never hurts to be prepared.

End of Quarter 3 Test

You can view your percentage on PowerSchool, but this is not your grade. Your grade is based on a level 1-4 performance, so you may only get a 75% on the test and still receive full points on the test.

The question is, how are things coming along? Did you feel like you did well? Share your thoughts.

Also, I am going to try to set up End of Level study groups, Tuesdays and Thursdays after school, where students from different math sections can work together on reviewing concepts commonly found of End of Level tests. Anyone interested?
